Thunder Bird Horses
Located in the rolling prairie of North Dakota, we provide top notch performance, ranch and trail horses.
Our broodmares spend their summers out in the rolling hills and the foals learn to be tough, be aware of their feet, and how to travel well.
We raise and train our horses to have a good mind and to be able to go do anything you ask of them. Our focus is on having a proper foundation so the horse can go in whatever direction they are asked.
Logan
I grew up in the mountains and ranges of Wyoming, leading pack strings into the wilderness, training sale and client horses, day-working in western Wyoming and dragging calves at brandings. I also started shoeing horses at 14 years old and have continued to further my education whenever possible.
I focus on teaching a horse from the ground up. I love to working with a blank slate when starting colts. I teach my horses to have respect and try. I strive to send home a willing and respectful horse that will be able to do anything asked of them. I am also a farrier and experienced in corrective shoeing
Alex
I grew up in North Dakota and graduated from NDSU with a degree in Equine Science. I started riding hunter jumpers. I switched to rodeo and competed in barrel racing, breakaway roping, pole bending, and goat tying. I've also ranched, driven teams and lead pack strings.
My focus is on finishing a horse. I push them toward what they are capable of becoming. I believe that a performance horse will benefit from working out of the arena. I have always strived to learn new techniques and skills and love using what I've learned to help me be a better trainer.
